A large number of fans gathered at various places to celebrate the film’s return to the big screen. Popular theaters in Hyderabad reportedly saw packed shows.As seen in the videos shared by fan pages, venues like Sudarshan 35mm and Prasads became major hubs for fans. Videos of the performances also showed cheering crowds and moments of celebration inside the theater.Reports suggested that the advance sales of Telugu in India had touched around 62 lakhs. The film’s initial worldwide estimates were also reported to be around 97 lakhs. Telangana and Andhra Pradesh are said to have played a major role in driving the collections. Foreign performance has been relatively moderate.

‘Athidhi’ is a Telugu romantic action thriller film directed by Surender Reddy. The film starred Mahesh Babu along with Amrita Rao, who made her Telugu debut through the film. Murali Sharma and Ashish Vidyarthi also appeared in important roles.The film was first released on October 18, 2007. It completed a 35-day theatrical run in nearly 400 theaters, and was later remade in Bangladesh as “Durdhorsho Premik”.
