Mohanlal’s ‘Drishyam 3’ continued its consistent theatrical run on its eighth day, showing only a slight slowdown in earnings.According to Sacnilk, the film collected around 6.50 crores on the 8th day. This shows a marginal decline of 2.3 percent from Day 7, when the film earned Rs 6.65 crore. The film was shown in 3,453 shows on the second Thursday.
‘Drishyam 3’ Indian collections and regional contribution
In the domestic market, Drishyam 3 has accumulated Rs 81.80 crore at the Indian collections. The total gross in India has reached 94.91 crores in its first week and early second week performing well.Kerala continues to be the highest contributor, adding a revenue of Rs 5.55 crore on Day 8 alone. Other regions also contributed steadily with Karnataka bringing in 80 lakhs. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana together added Rs 48 lakh and Tamil Nadu added Rs 45 lakh. 25 lakhs for the rest of India as a whole.
Foreign growth pushes global higher
International markets continue to play a major role in the film’s overall success. On Day 8 alone, Drishyam 3 added around 5.50 crores from overseas territories.This takes the film’s total overseas gross to 103 crores. Along with the domestic earnings, the worldwide gross now stands at 197.91 crores, placing the film close to the 200 crore mark.The Malayalam version registered an overall occupancy of 47.75 percent as the evening and night shows fared better than the morning and evening slots.The Telugu version registered an overall occupancy of 17.58 percent, while the Kannada screenings were at 21.83 percent. Tamil shows have had an occupancy of 29.07 percent.
