Amid news of the actor’s exit from Season 3, new reports have shed light on what happened behind the scenes.According to a report by The Hollywood Reporter, Hardy was burning out producers with repeated delays on set. The report states that the actor “refused to come out of his trailer for hours.”The source also claimed that Hardy’s actions left several cast members, including veteran actors Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren, on hold for hours. Calling the waiting game a kind of “power game”, the report said: “Keeping Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren and others waiting is career suicide, I’d bet.”Reports about Hardy’s future in the series intensified after claims emerged suggesting the actor could be dropped from the yet-to-be-announced upcoming season. However, no final decision has been made regarding Hardy’s participation in possible future episodes. Another source close to the production revealed that season 3 filming is expected to begin in September, once it gets the green light.Last week, a separate report claimed that Hardy tried to change dialogue and offer script notes to writer Jez Butterworth and series creator Ronan Bennett.In the crime drama co-directed by Guy Ritchie, Hardy plays fixer Harry Da Souza, working for the powerful Harrigan crime family. Brosnan portrays family patriarch Conrad Harrigan, while Mirren portrays Maeve Harrigan.The cast includes Paddy Considine, Joanne Froggatt, Lara Pulver, Toby Jones and Janet McTeer.Previously, Hardy’s bad behavior on set hit the headlines during his time on the set of ‘Mad Max’.
