Malayalam romantic comedy-drama Spa is now gearing up for an OTT release. the director Abrid ShineThe film hit the big screens on February 13 this year. The makers have officially announced the digital debut of the film.
OTT’s ‘Spa’ Release Details
Spa will start airing on ManoramaMAX from 28th May 2026. The ad was shared via the platform’s social media handles.The ‘Spa’ is set in and around La Paradise, an urban massage therapy center where the lives of various characters intersect. The story mainly follows Matha, a man who tries to understand the difference between true love and the romantic ideas built in his head.

Talking about her approach to the role in an interview with TOI City, Shruthy explained that she focused on understanding the character rather than looking at the role from a personal perspective. She said, “When I got Zara, the challenge for me was to think of her as a character.”According to the actor, seeing Zara solely as a character helped her approach the performance with greater clarity and confidence. Shruthy also spoke about the working environment during the shooting process. He recalled that the atmosphere on the set was cheerful and supportive throughout the filming.The actor noted that his co-stars, including Radhika Radhakrishnan and Sreeja Das, shared similar scenes, which helped create a sense of comfort and camaraderie among the actors.Describing the experience, he said, “And we adapted like a house on fire. On set, the technicians were laughing, so it was like getting an instant response from the audience. Radhika and I kept it on a comical level.”

The film stars Siddarth Bharthan, Shruthy Menon, Vineeth Thattil David and many others in key roles. The music of the film is composed by Ishaan Chhabra. Apart from directing the film, Abrid Shine also took responsibility for the story and screenplay. The filmmaker known for delivering distinctive narratives explores a different scenario and theme through Spa.On the other hand, Abrid Shine’s previous film was ‘Mahaveeryar’.
