He also shared that the news of the reboot being canceled was sudden and something he saw that “no one was going to come.”He also learned that the news came at a very good time, because he was at one of the premieres of his latest film ‘Ready or Not 2: Here I Come’. He added, “I was about to go on stage in front of all the fans. Hulu decided not to go ahead with the Buffy revival. Tell me, nobody saw this coming.”He and Chloe Zhao, who recently worked on the award-winning film ‘Hamnet’, had been working on the project for the past four years. Geller added that Zhao helped him understand the reboot and got him on board with the idea. Previously, he had never thought of returning to Sunnydale (the town in the series), even though fans had been asking about it for years. “And I’d also like to take this moment to say that Ryan Kiera Armstrong is a superstar.
