‘The Mandalorian and Grogu’ star Brendan Wayne is following his grandfather John WayneSteps taken with the ‘Star Wars’ character. While talking about The Mandalorian and his recent stint with Grogu, the actor explained how he used his grandfather’s work as inspiration and how he approached portraying The Mandalorian.

Wayne embodies the Mandalorian in the film Peter Pascal plays the character whenever the helmet is off. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly , the actor revealed that he had to make sure he was fully present in the moment whenever he was in armor on set. She shared that one of the biggest things she’s learned as an actor is “silence.”He added: “For me, that journey, I always struggled with it because my grandfather was extraordinary in being present and broadcasting anything. [was happening around him]. John Ford was fond of saying, “The less you give, Duke, the better the movie.” It seems a little, but if you were there it was more, it is as strong as anything.’Wayne also shared that he brought his grandfather’s calm and composed personality to the character, which helped him control his actions and stay in sync with the role. He said: “When I was being corrected, the more I stopped, the more I became like my grandfather, the more I became like the samurai he learned. Every move had a meaning; you don’t waste them. And with samurai, every move is a move to kill.“He also stated that he wanted to be calm and present in Mandalorian even when the cameras weren’t there. He explained that he often arrived on set early, rehearsing, dressing up and spending time walking around the set.“I wanted to be as gentle as my grandfather, Clint Eastwoodor Yul Brynner in Westworld. I wanted it to be as smooth as possible so that every movement mattered,” he added.According to Box Office Mojo, ‘The Mandalorian and Grogu’ has grossed around $33 million in the US.
