Karan also didn’t hold back on how much the news affected him. “Yesterday when I went to David’s celebration and he told me that this would be his last film… I had a bittersweet reaction in my heart... here is a filmmaker and one who is responsible for creating an entire genre… A DAVID DHAWAN film brings entertainment,” Karan wrote on his Instagram stories.The filmmaker added, “How must it feel to say this when it’s an organization that so many filmmakers have looked up to as an inspiration… LOVED, RESPECTED and CELEBRATED by our fraternity… Not against it!!! Here’s to a summer blockbuster with your son…. DAVID DHAWAN EZ 1 man forever.”

‘Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’: David Dhawan returns with Varun Dhawan after six years

After a gap of six years, David is stepping behind the camera once again with ‘Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’, the director’s fourth collaboration with Varun. The film features Mrunal Thakur and an impressive ensemble cast Pooja Hegde in the main roles, supported Mouni Roy, Rakesh BediRajesh Kumar, Maniesh Paul and others in pivotal parts. Produced by Ramesh Taurani under Tips Films and produced by Gaurav Bose of Maximilian Films, the film is all set to hit the theaters on June 5.
