The review praises the tension but raises concerns for the franchise

Although audiences have participated in large numbers, critical opinion has been more divided. ETimes acknowledged that the film manages to deliver the suspense and emotional payoff associated with the franchise. The review said, “The latter installments still manage to deliver the tension and emotional payoff expected from the Drishyam brand. However, the larger questions of whether the third installment was really necessary? The original film closed within its moral ambiguity, while the second installment effectively expanded the psychological implications. This third chapter often feels like a continuation driven by the weight of a successful franchise rather than an urgent storytelling need. The review added, “And as the film makes room for another sequel, another question arises: How long can a crime continue to spawn new narratives before the emotional impact begins to dilute?”DISCLAIMER: Box office numbers and data in this article have been collected from public and industry sources.
