When Richmond attended the TCL Chinese Theater premiere of the biopic last month, she got an unexpected surprise. Speaking to PEOPLE, he revealed that he and another chef who worked at the restaurant went to see the movie at the premiere. Later, he described the scene in which the singer was filming for a commercial, as a result of which his hair caught fire and he went to the hospital. “They bring this big plate of food. And the actor who plays Bill Bray [KeiLyn Durrel Jones]who was his head of security and a close friend of Michael’s, said … It was so fast, I didn’t catch the whole sentence, but it was something like, ‘Hey, we brought you all your favorites from the Golden Temple,'” he shared.The chef also said that it was very exciting for them, “So our restaurant got a shout out. We were excited,” he added.
What Akasha Richmond thinks about ‘Michael’ biopic
Asked what he thought of the film, Richmond couldn’t contain his excitement. He shared that the film was great, and it was an amazing experience for the two chefs to participate in the screening and watch it with all the other fans. Adding further details, “the movie is great… People were shouting. The fans were going crazy in the audience. All the characters, even the young kid, I thought [Juliano Krue Valdi] He played Michael as a young guy, I thought he was great. The music was great, the story, and it showed a lot of the creative process.”According to the report, Richmond also made and handed out Jackson’s favorite cookies at the event.
When did Akasha Richmond and Michael Jackson meet?
Richmond and Jackson met while working at The Golden Temple. Although the restaurant is now closed, it holds good memories for itself.
