The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has revised the schedule for the SSCGD Constable Exam 2026, extending the May 28 exam to May 27 following a change in the official holiday calendar for Eid al-Adha (Baqrid).According to an official notification issued on Friday, the revised schedule applies to the Constable (GD) examination for recruitment to Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), SSF, and Rifleman (GD) posts in the Assam Rifles.The change comes after the Department of Personnel and Training issued an office memorandum to revise the date of Eid holiday.
Revised admit cards will be released soon.
“Now the admit cards for the exam scheduled on May 27, 2026 will be made available 2 to 3 days in advance on the official website of the commission through the candidate module,” SSC said in its official communication.Candidates are advised to monitor the official SSC portal regularly for latest admit cards, exam city details, reporting time, and shift related instructions. The SSCGD exam cycle started on April 27 and is scheduled to conclude on May 30.

The commission has also warned candidates against relying on unverified social media posts, forward messages or third-party websites for exam-related information.Officials said that all the authentic updates related to the SSCGD Constable Exam will be published only through the official SSC website. Aspirants are advised to verify the exam dates and center details carefully before proceeding to their allotted venues.
