There has been a lot of talk about a possible collaboration between the Tollywood giant Allu Arjun and Malayalam filmmaker Basilio Jose. Although there is no official announcement yet, rumors have got fans talking about it. Many people believed that the project could be the much-discussed ‘Shaktimaan’ film. However, the ‘Athiradi’ director Arun Anirudhan now he has cleared the confusion and confirmed that his film with Allu Arjun is not related to ‘Shaktimaan’.
Arun Anirudhan talks about ‘Shaktimaan’
In a recent interaction with Club FM 94.3, Arun Anirudhan shared details about his ‘Shaktimaan’ project. He revealed that he and writer Paulson Skaria were working on the script for Basil Joseph’s next directorial venture.He said, “Paulson (Skaria) and I were writing the script for Basil’s next directorial. Unfortunately, it didn’t go on floors. It was supposed to be a massive film… Shaktimaan. I don’t know if it will happen; it’s quite complicated.”His comments confirmed that the Shaktimaan project was at one stage, but has yet to take off.
No connection between ‘Shaktimaan’ and Allu Arjun movie
Arun Anirudhan also mentioned that the upcoming project starring Allu Arjun and Basil Joseph has nothing to do with ‘Shaktimaan’. He said that the superhero film was never given to Allu Arjun. He said, “No…no. This (Allu Arjun film) has no connection with Shaktimaan. That is different, and all updates will be shared soon.”The filmmaker was also asked if he attended Basil Joseph Allu Sirish’s wedding for the collaboration. Responding to this, he said, “Allu Arjun invited him. Minnal Murali has seen him, liked him, and they are in touch.”

While fans are waiting for an official update on Basil Joseph project, Allu Arjun is busy shooting for Raaka with director Atlee. The big budget film is expected to have a parallel universe concept. Movie protagonists Deepika Padukone as the female protagonist.After that, the ‘Pushpa’ actress will also team up with director Lokesh Kanagaraj for the much-awaited project, tentatively titled ‘AA23’.
