Backed by Karan Johar’s production house, the film had a disappointing start at the box office on its opening day. However, given the lack of pre-release buzz and minimal hype surrounding the project, its 1-day earnings could still be quite decent.
‘Chand Mera Dil’ box office collection Day 1
According to Sacnilk report, the Vivek Soni directorial has collected Rs 2.90 crore from 4,944 shows on Day 1. With this, the gross collections in India are now 3.39 crores and the net earnings in India are 2.90 crores. The film had an overall occupancy of 17.31% in theaters on Day 1.The film surpassed Junaid Khan and Sai Pallavi’s ‘Ek Din’ first day collection of Rs 1.15 crore.

‘Chand Mera Dil’ is facing competition from ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh Do’ which aired last week, starring Ayushmann Khurran, Rakul Preet Singh, Sara Ali Khan and Wamiqa Gabbi. Actors Lakshya and Ananya also clashed at the box office with their Hollywood release ‘Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu’.

The board gave the film a U/A 16+ rating.It was released on May 22, 2026.
