New Delhi:Ishan Kishan He once again proved why he loves batting against Royal Challengers Bengaluru as the explosive Sunrisers Hyderabad left-hander continued his impressive run against the defending champions during their IPL 2026 clash at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Friday.Kishan scored a brilliant 79 off 46 balls and registered the fourth consecutive 50 plus score against RCB in IPL history. The knock further highlighted his dominance over Bengaluru’s bowling attack over several seasons. Only two players now stand with or ahead of the cushion in the list of consecutive 50-plus scores against RCB in IPL history. The previous David Warner The opener tops the charts with seven consecutive 50-plus scores against RCB between 2014 and 2016 – a record set during his peak years with Sunrisers Hyderabad. The previous Ken Williamson The captain also scored four consecutive 50 plus scores against RCB from 2016 to 2019. Cushion has now equaled Williamson’s feat, achieving it between 2024 and 2026.

Kishan was not alone in SRH’s batting carnage. Abhishek Sharma scored 56 runs, while Henrik Klaasen scored 51 runs as Hyderabad produced another impressive batting display.This is only the third instance in IPL history where three SRH batsmen have scored more than 50 runs in a single innings. The first such incident occurred in 2017 against Punjab Kings in Mohali, while the second occurred in 2024 against Mumbai Indians in Hyderabad. The latest feat against RCB highlighted SRH’s batting depth and aggressive intent this season.

Fifties from Abhishek, Klaasen and Kishan saw Sunrisers Hyderabad pile up a massive 255/4 in 20 overs against RCB. The SRH batsmen hit a total of 16 sixes during the innings, once again demonstrating their fearless batting philosophy.It was also the ninth time in IPL 2026 that SRH crossed the 200-run mark in an innings – the most by any team in a single IPL season. The previous best was jointly held by Gujarat Titans in 2025, followed by Punjab Kings in 2025 and 2026, all of whom achieved the feat eight times.
