The final answer key of the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2026 is expected to be released soon by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati, the conducting institute for this year’s exam. GATE Final Answer Key Release Timeline
According to recent media reports, the final answer key of GATE 2026 is expected around 17-18 March 2026, shortly before the declaration of results.The final answer key includes all the changes accepted by the examining authority after reviewing the objections raised by the candidates during the challenge window. Objection facility for Provisional Answer Key was opened from 25 February to 28 February 2026 through GOAPS portal.Once released, the answer key will be available in PDF format for each subject paper, allowing candidates to verify the official solution used in the evaluation process.
GATE 2026 Result Date
The result of GATE 2026 is scheduled to be declared on 19 March 2026 on the official website.Candidates will be able to check their result through GOAPS portal using their Enrollment ID/Email and Password. The result will include:
- Marks obtained out of 100
- GATE Score (normalized score out of 1000)
- All India Rank (AIR)
- Eligibility Status
The scorecard will be available for download after the declaration of results and will be valid for three years, making it usable for postgraduate admissions and PSU recruitments.
