Starring ‘Drishyam 3’ Mohanlal has finally hit theaters and the film is off to a strong start at the box office, despite receiving mixed reactions from audiences and critics.The much-awaited thriller had impressive opening day collections across multiple languages and territories. According to Sacnilk, the film collected Rs 15.85 crore on Day 1 in India from 5,506 shows.
The worldwide collection of “Drishyam 3” crosses 43 crores
The film also received a strong performance overseas. Reports suggest that the film collected Rs 25 crore overseas on its opening day.With the Indian gross collection touching 18.37 crores, the film’s worldwide gross collection has reached 43.37 crores.Among all the versions, the Malayalam version gave the highest number. The Malayalam release alone earned Rs 13.70 crore on Day 1 with an occupancy rate of 67 percent across 3,503 shows.The Telugu version also performed well in some centers and collected 1.50 crore nett.
The number of occupations remains impressive
The Malayalam 2D version had a high occupancy throughout the day.The overall occupancy of the Malayalam version was 66.79 percent. Evening and night shows in particular saw packed theaters in many regions.Kerala was the film’s strongest market, grossing Rs 11.15 crore on its opening day.
