The Delhi High Court he asked the Center and General Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to look into allegations by the military that the film “Dhurandhar: The Revenge” leaked sensitive details about military and intelligence operations.A Division Bench of Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya and Tejas Karia asked the petitioner to file a representation before the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and the CBFC and asked the authorities to consider the concerns raised in the petition, according to ANI. This application was submitted Deepak KumarSashastra Seema Bal (SSB) employee through advocate Jagjeet Singh. The plea stated that the petitioner is currently stationed at SSB’s Force Headquarters at RK Puram, New Delhi.According to the petitioner’s counsel, a representation was already sent to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting as well as the CBFC on March 23, 2026, raising objections about the film. The claim alleged that some of the scenes in the movie were starring Ranveer Singh demonstrated operational methods, tactical procedures, and intelligence-related activities that could affect national security and endanger undercover agents.It was argued that the film depicted certain locations and actions in overly explicit ways that were allegedly based on real-life military and intelligence operations. According to the applicant, such portraits can help hostile agencies identify operational patterns used by Indian forces.During the hearing, the High Court observed that even though the film was fictional and made for entertainment, the impact of such representations could not be completely ignored.The bench disposed of the PIL after directing the authorities to treat the same writ petition as a representation and take an appropriate decision on the issues raised. The petition also sought directions for the screening of “Spy Protocol Movies” and “Dhurandhar: The Revenge”.
