Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha tied the knot in September 2023 and it was an intimate wedding in Udaipur. The wedding took place with strict privacy and elaborate arrangements, and now singer and Vedic priest Ankit Batra has revealed several unseen details of the grand celebration. From strict security measures to emotional wedding rituals, Ankit opened up about the experience. Describing the atmosphere at The Leela Palace Udaipur, Ankit said the wedding was managed with incredible secrecy as the paparazzi were constantly trying to capture moments of the festivities. “Wedding day at Leela Palace, Udaipur. Security was crazy. Paparazzi from every other outlet were tracking every move,” she recalled in an interview on her YouTube channel, Voice of Vows.He also revealed that he had traveled to Udaipur on the same flight as the bride and groom. Later, the groom’s baraat is said to have made a dramatic entrance to the venue via boats crossing the lake from another hotel. “I was on the same flight that Raghav ji and Parineeti ji traveled to for their wedding in Udaipur. They were the first to get off and then we all followed. The baraat was coming from the Taj hotel in boats across the water.”According to Ankit, the hall looked royal from the outside, but inside it functioned with very strict rules to maintain privacy during the ceremonies. “It was lovely but there was a fortress inside. No pictures, no video. Also Priyanka ChopraHis mother was asked to delete the pictures taken on her phone. They were so serious about the sanctity of marriage. We did the feras in exactly one hour and 20 minutes. It wasn’t just singing, it was a conversation,” he added.He also recalled seeing political leaders Bhagwant Mann and Arvind Kejriwal actively enjoying the wedding celebrations and participating in the baraat as close family members. “Then I looked outside and saw Bhagwant Mann ji, CM of Punjab, and Arvind Kejriwal ji. They were not just guests, they were like family, the groom’s best men, dancing, carrying Raghav ji on their shoulders,” he said.Ankit also shared that Parineeti had planned an emotional surprise for her hubby at their bridal shower. “Parineeti ji also had a surprise. She herself included a song that she had specially recorded for Raghav ji. It was a surprise for her too,” he shared.Recalling the touching wedding rituals, Ankit said that the ceremony deeply moved everyone present in the hall. “And then the jaimala happened, where I led the jaimala on beautiful mantras and then the pheras. The pheras were beautiful. There was not a dry eye in the house,” he said.After the wedding ceremony was over, several guests personally appreciated the manner in which the rituals and their meanings were explained. “Bhagwant Mann ji, Arvind Kejriwal ji and Aditya Thakur ji, they all came to me and were saying that this is the first time we understand the meaning behind pheras.
