Big blow for MI! Quinton de Kock and Raj Angad Bawa ruled out of IPL 2026

Mumbai Indians A double injury setback ahead of the final leg of their IPL 2026 campaign, with both Quinton de Kock And Raj Angad Bawa is out for the rest of the season. The five-time champions, who are already out of the playoff race, confirmed that both players are currently recuperating at home after suffering separate injuries during the tournament. De Kock suffered a tendon injury in his left wrist ahead of Mumbai’s clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad, ending a difficult season for the veteran South African wicketkeeper-batsman. The left-hander last featured for MI on April 23 and has scored 132 runs in three innings this season, including an unbeaten 112 against Punjab Kings. Meanwhile, Chandigarh all-rounder Bawa suffered a ligament tear in his right thumb during Mumbai’s previous match against Punjab Kings. The 23-year-old played three matches this season after featuring in three games during IPL 2025. Mumbai Indians said replacements for both players will be announced later as per IPL regulations. IPL 2026 has been a disappointing campaign for MI, who are currently ninth on the points table with just four wins from 12 matches and a net run rate of -0.504.They still have two matches left to play this season — against Kolkata Knight Riders on May 20 in Kolkata and Rajasthan Royals On May 24 in Mumbai. While Mumbai are already out of playoff contention, they can still play a major role in shaping the top four race, with both KKR and RR still fighting for qualification.
