Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board (MPESB) Bhopal has extended the last date to apply for Forest Guard, Field Guard, Jail Parhari and Assistant Jail Superintendent Recruitment Exam 2026. As per the official notification the candidates who have not yet submitted their application forms can now complete the registration process till 30th April 2026.Eligible candidates can apply online through official websites esb.mp.gov.in and esb.mponline.gov.in.The objective of the recruitment drive is to fill 1,679 vacancies in Forest Department and Jail Department of Government of Madhya Pradesh.
MPESB Recruitment 2026 : Vacancy Details
The vacancies announced during the recruitment drive are divided into several posts. Post wise details are as follows:
- Forest Guard (Van Rakshik): 728 posts
- Field Guard (Kshetra Rakshaka): 169 posts
- Jail Warder (Warder): 757 posts
- Assistant Jail Superintendent: 25 posts
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for the posts of Forest Guard, Field Guard and Jail Warden must have passed Class 10 from a recognized board.Candidates for the post of Assistant Jail Superintendent must possess a graduate degree from a recognized university.Age Limit
- Candidates should be between 18 to 33 years of age for the posts of Forest Guard, Field Guard and Jail Guard.
- The age limit for the post of Assistant Jail Superintendent is 21 to 33 years.
Age of applicants will be calculated from 1st January 2026. As per government rules candidates of reserved categories will be given relaxation in upper age limit.
Application fee
Candidates have to pay the required application fee while submitting the online form.
- 500 for candidates belonging to General, Other Backward Classes (OBC) and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) categories.
- 250 for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Women, Physically Handicapped (PH) and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) categories.
Application fee should be paid through online mode only.
Selection process
The selection process will include a written test followed by a skill test. Candidates qualifying in these stages will be called for document verification and medical examination before final appointment.
Important Dates
The official notification of the recruitment drive was released on 27 February 2026 and the online application process started on 28 February 2026.Candidates can now submit their applications till 30th April 2026. The computer based test is scheduled to start from 7th April 2026.Applicants are advised to carefully check all the details contained in the application form before submitting it and keep a copy of the confirmation page for future reference.
