NEET UG 2026 Retest FAQs Issued: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released a fresh set of frequently asked questions for candidates appearing for the NEET (UG) 2026 re-examination scheduled on 21 June 2026. The explanation includes exam time, city selection, fee refund, center allotment, grievances and examination medium.The re-examination will be held from 02:00 PM to 05:15 PM, including the time allotted for examination formalities. The NTA has also confirmed that the candidates will not have to pay any additional fee to retake the test. This exam follows the earlier cancellation of NEET (UG) 2026, which was held on May 3, 2026.Address correction and city preference facility opened.According to the FAQ document, candidates are allowed to update their current address details and select two cities by revising the city preference. NTA said that the special correction facility has been opened exclusively for the re-examination process.The agency has also informed the candidates that the module for submission of bank account details for examination fee refund will be made available by May 21, 2026.The medium of examination cannot be changedThe NTA clarified that the examination medium selected during the original application process will be final. Candidates will not be allowed to change the language option at this stage.The clarification was issued after several candidates reported receiving a message stating that city selection is not available based on updated address and pre-selected exam medium. The NTA said that the selection of the earlier language is determined as per the rules mentioned in the NEET (UG) 2026 Information Bulletin.The fresh center allotment may differ from the earlier location.The agency said that the examination centers for the re-examination will be allotted as per the preference of the city chosen by the candidates. As a result, the center assigned for re-examination may not be the same as the one already allotted.The NTA also clarified that the centers have been allocated randomly in the selected cities.Additional time has been added for verification formalities.Candidates appearing for the re-examination will get additional 15 minutes for documents, verification and related formalities before the test.Candidates who faced problems during the May 3 examination due to center-related issues have been asked to submit complaints and supporting documents through the official NTA Help Desk email provided for NEET (UG) 2026 complaints.
