
Sudharsan was injured on the last ball of the third over bowled by Karthik Tyagi. Attempting a pull shot on a short-off length delivery, Sudharsan was beaten by the timing and the ball hit his left elbow. He managed to complete a single through backward square leg but immediately fell to the ground in pain and took off his gloves.
Physio was on the scene quickly and an ice pack was applied to Sudharsan’s left elbow before the retired Hurt walked out. When Jos Buttler was seen poised near the boundary rope, it was Nishant Sindhu who came to bat next.
