‘Kara’ posted better numbers in the previous two days. On day 15, the film earned 69 lakhs nett from 963 shows and registered 20.3 percent occupancy. On Day 14, it added 80 lakhs nett in 1,723 shows with 16.4 percent occupancy. The film’s second week collection was 6.54 crores. The net collection in India has now reached 36.96 crores.
‘Kara’ state gross collections led by Tamil Nadu
Tamil Nadu remains the strongest market for ‘Kara’ by far. The state has brought in 29.57 crores in gross collection so far. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana added 7.98 million. Karnataka has contributed Rs 3.14 crore, while Kerala has contributed Rs 61 lakh.Rest of India accounts for 28 lakhs. With these contributions, the film’s total Indian gross has reached 41.58 crores.
‘Karuppu’ opens powerfully
Meanwhile, Suriya and Trisha Krishnan’s ‘Karuppu’ has entered the theaters with a strong opening.According to Sacnilk, ‘Karuppu’ collected Rs 14.40 crore from 4,891 shows on Day 1 in India. Its Indian gross was 16.66 crores. The Tamil version alone contributed Rs 12.00 crore. It also recorded an overall occupancy of 54.0 percent across 3,448 shows.
