Robin Singh Officially announcing his departure from the franchise after a 16-year association.Robin confirmed on Friday that he has parted ways with both Mumbai Indians and their overseas sister franchise MI Emirates, bringing to a close one of the longest support staff tours in franchise cricket.“I would like to state that I have officially parted ways with Mumbai Indians. Although I am no longer a part of them. IPL Staff from 2022, with his team in the Emirates League this year as well,” Robin wrote in a social media post.He also thanked the franchise and the fans who have supported him over the years.“Thank you to the entire MI family and fans for supporting me in this wonderful journey since 2010. Best wishes to the franchise in the years to come.”Robin joined Mumbai Indians in 2010 and became a key figure behind the scenes during the franchise’s most successful era. He was part of the setup during all five IPL title-winning campaigns and also featured in the team’s two Champions League Twenty20 victories. Key role beyond IPLAlthough his direct role with MI’s IPL unit ends in 2022, Robin remains involved in the Mumbai Indians’ extensive network. He served as the general manager of MI Emirates during the inaugural International League T20 season in 2023 and was later promoted as the head of the franchise in 2024.His exit marks the end of an important coaching era for the franchise, where he worked with several title-winning squads.Prior to his coaching career, Robin represented India in 136 ODIs, scoring 2,336 runs and taking 69 wickets. He later became one of the most sought-after coaches in T20 leagues around the world.
