West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) has released the topper list for WB HS Result 2026 along with the declaration of higher secondary examination results. This year, 64 students secured positions in the top 10 merit list, including 56 boys and 8 girls.Adritu Pal of Narendrapur Ramakrishna Mission bagged 496 marks out of 500 and bagged the first position in the state. The student recorded 99.2% in Higher Secondary Examinations.
The second rank was jointly bagged by Jishnu Kundu and Ritupruto Nath. Both the students secured 495 marks and recorded 99%.Five students jointly secured the third position in the WBHS Result 2026 Merit List. They include Debapriya Majhi, Tonmoy Mandal, Soumya Rai, Shobhayvan Mandol and Pritam Ballabh. All of them secured 98.8% marks in the exams.Sangchan Nandi, Chaudhary Mohammad Asim, Indrajit Ghosh and Sumatra Karan took part in the fifth rank. Sangchan Nandi secured 691 marks and recorded 98.71%.

According to the board, four students from Kolkata are in the top 10 this year. The merit list was announced during the official press conference on May 14 along with the overall pass percentage and district wise performance data.WBCHSE recorded an overall pass ratio of 91.2 percent this year, with over 5.71 lakh students clearing the higher secondary examinations.
