SR Prabhu has announced that he has canceled his morning shows
Producer SR Prabhu officially confirmed that the early morning screenings of the film would not happen as planned. Sharing the update on social media, he wrote, “Due to unavoidable reasons, the 9 am shows will be canceled for ‘Karuppu’. Our sincere apologies to all!” A report from News 18 suggests the issue is related to a financial settlement involving the production company. Due to the ongoing debates, the theaters suspended advance bookings for the morning shows. Some theater owners have also indicated that the release of the film may be delayed if the issue is not resolved quickly.
RJ Balaji shares emotional message for fans
Ahead of the official cancellation update, RJ Balaji shared an emotional message asking fans to stay hopeful last night (May 13). In his post, he wrote: “Dear fans, I don’t have a specific answer to the current situation. The producers are trying their best to resolve the hurdles as much as possible. This film has always had hurdles, and somehow God has brought us through it all, and here we are after 32 months.” He added in Tamil: #Karuppu குக்குக்குக்குக்கு செம்யையா release அக்கு..!!! अप्पपु वियायैक्चु, sukku…!!!” (Karuppan will break all barriers. ‘Karuppu’ will release tomorrow morning with a bang. Keep the faith, it will happen.) Her post quickly went viral among fans online.
