The Punjab School Education Board has today announced the 12th class results for 2026 with a pass percentage of 91.46%. The results continue the board’s consistent trend of maintaining a pass rate of over 90 per cent over the past few years.Once again, girls have outperformed boys in the Punjab Board Class 12 exams, continuing a long-standing pattern, with girls passing 94.73 percent this year while boys’ pass percentage stood at 88.52 percent. A difference of more than six percentage points highlights the continued strong performance of female students.Apart from the better pass percentage, girls have also performed strongly in the toppers’ list this year, bagging the top positions in all streams. In the science stream, Sarpreet Kaur scored full 500/500, while in humanities, Suhani Chauhan and Devyanshi also secured 100 per cent marks, scoring 500/500 each. Their presence in the merit rankings further underscores their academic dominance in the 2026 results, extending a trend seen in previous years as well.

A look at past data shows that girls have consistently outperformed boys in Punjab Board Class 12 results. In 2023, the pass percentage for girls stood at 95.14% compared to 90.25% for boys. In 2024, the rate of girls was 95.74 percent while the rate of boys was 90.74 percent. In 2025, these figures were 94.32 percent for girls and 88.08 percent for boys, showing a consistent year-on-year pattern of higher performance among girl students.
