Parag Tyagi has again reacted to the rumors surrounding his wife Shefali Jariwala’s death on June 27, 2025, and rubbished several outlandish claims doing the rounds on social media.In a recent interview with Filmygyan, Parag clarified that Shefali had never taken injections for diet, fairness or anti-aging purposes and asked people to stop believing ‘WhatsApp University’.“During the interview, Parag was asked about the rumors that Shefali had taken certain injections which allegedly affected her health. Reacting strongly, he said he was shocked by the stories being circulated online.
“He was the fittest he’s ever been”
Parag revealed that Shefali was leading a normal lifestyle and enjoying regular home-cooked food.“Hum log normal khaana khate the. Dal, sabzi, roti sab. Protein intake zyada tha, but everything was normal. He was the fittest in his entire life at this time,” he said.He also recalled how the family used to enjoy food together and laughed off rumors that Shefali was addicted to injections to suppress her appetite.“Hum Chinese khaate the, noodles khaate the, ice creams khaate the. Bhookh na lagne wale injections ki zarurat hi kya thi?” he said
“If there was an anti-aging injection, everyone would take it”
Reacting to another rumor that Shefali used anti-ageing injections, Parag Tyagi sarcastically said, “Please mujhe bhi bata do. Agar young rehne ka injection hotta toh sab le lete. Parents ko bhi lagwa dete.”He further added, “Agar aisa hota toh Ratan Tata ji bhi aaj zinda hote.”Parag admitted that while people continue to speculate online, he has now made peace with the situation.“Jab aana hota hai toh aana hota hai. You can’t control it,” he said.
“One second and life is completely changed”
Apart from addressing the rumours, Parag also opened up about the emotional trauma he went through after Shefali’s death. He admitted that reality is the hardest to accept.“Ek second my life completely changed ho gayi. Main numb ho chuka tha,” he shared.The actor said that he still feels Shefali’s presence around him and believes that she continues to guide him every day.“He comes in my dreams. He helps me and guides me. He is still with us,” she said emotionally.
‘He was my backbone’
Remembering their bond, Parag called Shefali his mentor, best friend and biggest support system.“He is my backbone. He taught me everything. Main unko guru maanta hoon,” he said.She further revealed that one of Shefali’s biggest dreams was to start a foundation focused on the education and empowerment of girls.“She wanted girls and women to be self-reliant and strong,” she shared, adding that she now wants to fulfill her dream herself.Towards the end of the interaction, Parag also talked about getting a tattoo dedicated to Shefali. He insisted that their daughter Pari’s tattoo should include sindoor because “it was a suhagan”.“Woh zindagi bhar mere saath rahegi,” said Parag.
