Haunted Palace sets the stage for horror and comedy
‘Bhooth Bangla’ follows a man who inherits an ancestral palace in rural Mangalpur and decides to arrange his sister’s wedding there.Akshay Kumar plays Arjun Acharya, who plans a grand wedding for his sister Meera, played by Mithila Palkar. Their grandfather’s decision to leave the mansion to them soon reveals disturbing secrets.A review of the film by ETimes said, “While there are some gory scenes in the first part, the narrative turns completely horror after the interval. A flashback sets the context for the palace’s haunted history and the truth behind Vadhusur. However, the script becomes confusing, and both the creatures and some of the scenery, in some places, look gimmicky, especially towards the top.
