Milind Soman on Southern cinema vs Bollywood: “It’s much easier to get things done and get them done on time” |

Milind Soman shares that his foray into the South Indian film scene, especially with his Tamil web series ‘Kaattaan’, felt refreshingly relaxed. He appreciated how the production moved smoothly and quickly, thanks to the strong teamwork. Rather, it highlighted the often unpredictable nature of Hindi cinema, where the pace can change according to the producer’s whims.

Famous actress and model Milind Soman he has a lot of experience under him. She has worked in many industries, modeling and acting for various industries in India. In a recent feature, the star opened up about the differences she has faced while working in South Indian cinema and Hindi cinema so far.Speaking to IANS about her latest Tamil web series ‘Kaattaan’, the actor shared that acting and working in the South felt much more relaxed for her. He added: “That’s how I feel. There’s not a lot of things you have to navigate or negotiate. I don’t personally have to do that, but I see how everybody works.”

He elaborated further: “It is much easier to do things and to do them on time. Things move quickly and people are able to deal with any obstacles that come their way because shooting is different and generally never easy.’Referring to working in the Tamil industry, he added that he felt that everyone contributed to the scene, and everyone collaborated very well in all endeavors.

He also mentioned that he has also worked in Hindi cinema, “you can’t really generalize because every unit is different. A lot depends on the producer. The producer largely decides how the team works.” Comparing the two, Soman admitted that South Indian films and TV shows were much easier for him to work on compared to Hindi cinema in general.As for the work, ‘Kaattaan’ will be released on March 27 and will be streamed on JioHotstar. He will be the protagonist on the side Vijay Sethupathi.
