Priyanka Gandhi Vadra questioned the usefulness of strict laws against paper leaks in Parliament if corruption continues at ground level.Priyanka Gandhi Vadra further said that the Prime Minister is accountable to the youth of the country and asked how long the alleged harming of students’ future will continue.The alleged circulation network is being investigated by the SOG.The Rajasthan Police’s Special Operations Group is investigating allegations that a question set circulated ahead of NEET UG 2026 contained material closely matching the exam paper, including claims that around 120 chemistry questions were attached to the test.Additional Director General Vishal Bansal said the agency was probing about 410 question “estimate papers” that were allegedly circulated 15 days to a month before the exam, and confirmed that no arrests had been made.Allegations of questionable bank circulation and price fixing under investigationInvestigators traced the alleged question bank to a medical student from Churu studying in Kerala, with reports that the material was transferred by colleagues in Sikar on May 1 and later transferred by a paying guest operator to coaching affiliate networks in the states.Authorities are also probing claims that the document was sold for up to Rs 5 lakh two days before the exam and for around Rs 30,000 the night before, along with digital messages ‘forwarded multiple times’ recovered during the probe.The arrests were made while the agencies were investigating the trail of digital evidence.The Special Operations Group has arrested 13 suspects from Dehradun, Sekar and Jhunjhunu, most of whom are associated with counseling and admissions services, including a Sekar-based consultancy operator near a coaching institute on Piprali Road.The NTA said it received information about the alleged irregularities in NEET UG 2026 on May 7 and shared the information with central agencies, advising candidates to avoid rumours, while verification is underway.NTA response and ongoing reviewWeeks after the May 3, 2026 exam, the National Testing Agency reiterated that it had shared all relevant information for the exam with central agencies. Officials said verification of the alleged leaks, circulation chains and digital evidence is ongoing, with multiple agencies coordinating to establish the veracity of the claims and follow up on the findings.
