Recalling the days when he was fresh out of school, Short recalled meeting Radner in the 1972 production. “‘Godspell’ opened off-Broadway and became a big hit, so they were mounting a Toronto production,” Short said on ‘Netflix Is a Joke Presents: This Better Be Funny with David Letterman,’ “I was still in college. Gilda Radner was there. Eugene Levy. Andrea Martin. Victor Garber.” Reflecting on his journey, Short mentioned that the calls were chaos among the hundreds.

I’m so excited to meet you.’ It was immediately fun,” she said. Meanwhile, he also met his then-future wife, Nancy Dolman, who was Radner’s assistant. “She was an amazing singer. So talented,” added the ‘Father of the Bride’ star.
