The film has already crossed a major milestone in advance bookings. According to film industry follower AB George, the opening day advance sales in Kerala crossed Rs 1 crore. The positive trend is not limited to Kerala. The film’s advance booking gross has already crossed Rs 4 crore. Great start @Mohanlal @jeethu4ever.”“Drishyam 3” follows the story of Georgekutty and his family. Meena, Ansiba Hassan and Esther Anil return to reprise their roles. ‘Drishyam 3’ trailer launch reveals new mystery

The much awaited trailer was launched in Kochi on Saturday. At the event, Jeethu Joseph revealed that Georgekutty is facing a very different kind of threat this time.He said: “The difference between the first part and the second part and the third part is that Georgekutty doesn’t know if someone is behind it, and if so, who it is.”The director added that “in the first two parts, he knew that the police and the dead boy’s family were after him. But in this one, he doesn’t know who it is. I’m not saying that there won’t be elements that will surprise you.”

Mohanlal hints at more “Drishyam” films

At the trailer launch, Mohanlal hinted that Georgekutty’s story may continue beyond this part. In a light but significant comment, he indicated that further follow-ups may be possible. Mohanlal said, “This is not a joke. Let people watch the film and decide if we should make a sequel, say four or five.”The film will hit theaters worldwide on May 21, 2026.
