Dia Mirza in his “child-led” approach to parenting
In an interview with Screen, Dia said, “The dynamic is very different with Samaira and Avyaan. I have always approached parenting with a simple principle: child-led. As a parent it is very important that your children feel loved, safe and not judged. With Samaira, it’s very different, because she’s 17 years old and she’s going through a rollercoaster of changes. It’s very challenging.”He further added, “Sometimes it brings out the worst in me, and makes me realize how I can be better. It also makes you very vulnerable. With the younger one, she has such a distinct personality. They are so different, yet so alike. It’s so interesting to see their dynamic, their love and their truly incredible bond. Samaira turns 7 with Avyaana.”
