While talking to PEOPLE about her latest film ‘Remarkably Bright Creatures,’ the plague also opened up about some specific roles she’s always avoided.“I never get into stories about women trying to find a man,” she commented in the interview, “I didn’t like it then, and I’m not attracted to it now, because I think women are so much more.”Later in the interview, he also mentioned that growing up, he had a lot of emotions and often let them consume him. Through acting, he was able to channel his emotions into the character and make it his own. Elaborating on this method, the actor mentioned that he had a very complicated relationship with his parents when he was growing up in the 50s. “I was full of rage. Really full of rage, and it was working [acting coach] Lee Strasberg allowed me to start tapping into that, so it didn’t swallow me up.To conclude, she used this method in one of her most famous roles, ‘Norma Rae’, and was encouraged by her director, Marty Ritt.
