Lucknow Supergiants finally registered their first home win of the IPL 2026 season after defeating Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Ekana Stadium, but the match was overshadowed as fake AI-generated tickets were circulated outside the venue.According to PTI, the Lucknow Police busted an inter-state gang involved in forging IPL 2026 match tickets using artificial intelligence (AI) tools. During the clash between LSG and RCB on Thursday, the police arrested four people for allegedly selling fake tickets near the stadium gate.According to PTI, the accused allegedly created fake IPL tickets using ChatGPT with graphic design software and sold them to unsuspecting cricket fans outside the stadium.
“Yesterday, during the IPL match between LSG and RCB at Ekna Stadium, a person was found with a fake IPL ticket,” DCP (Lucknow South) Amit Kumar Anand told PTI.“During the enquiry, it was found that someone had sold tickets outside the stadium. Following this, a team of Cyber Cell Lucknow and Sushant Golf City Police conducted an operation and arrested four accused. All of them hail from Durg district of Chhattisgarh.”
