CUET UG 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued an important advisory regarding dress code and permitted items for candidates appearing for the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2026 examination.According to the official notice, the CUET UG 2026 exam will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode from May 11 to May 31, 2026, across centers in India and 15 cities outside the country.The agency has advised the candidates to carefully follow the instructions on the day of the examination to ensure smooth entry and checking procedures at the examination centres.
CUET UG 2026: Items and dress code allowed in examination centers.
As per the advisory issued by NTA, candidates will be allowed to carry transparent water bottles inside the examination centers.The agency has also clarified that candidates can wear articles of faith or articles of faith including religious threads such as kalava. However, such candidates are advised to report at the examination center in advance to complete the examination procedure smoothly.NTA has further stated that light colored clothing is preferred for the examination. Candidates may wear fleece if required, but should reach the center early for proper screening.Regarding footwear, casual shoes, slippers and low heels are recommended for the candidates appearing in the examination.
