UPSSC Recruitment 2026: Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) will soon close the registration process for the recruitment of Assistant Statistical Officer (ASO) and Assistant Research Officer (ARO) posts. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through official website upsssc.gov.in.As per the official notification, the last date for submission of online application form and payment of application fee is 11 May 2026. Candidates will also be allowed to make corrections in their submitted application form till 18th May 2026.The objective of the recruitment drive is to fill a total of 929 vacancies for the posts of ASO and ARO in various departments of Uttar Pradesh.
UPSSSC Recruitment 2026: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for the recruitment process are required to appear in Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2025 conducted by UPSSSC. Only candidates with valid PET score will be considered for shortlisting.For educational qualification, applicants should have a post-graduate degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Commerce, Economics, or related subjects from a recognized university.Candidates should have basic computer knowledge along with proficiency in Hindi written in Devanagari script.Age LimitAccording to the notification, the age of the candidates should be between 21 to 40 years. Reserved category candidates will be eligible for age relaxation as per government rules.
Application fee
The application fee for all categories is Rs.25. Candidates can pay through Debit Card, Credit Card, Internet Banking, or UPI.
Selection process
Selection process will be based on written test. Only shortlisted candidates on the basis of their PET 2025 score will be eligible to appear in the main examination.The written test will consist of objective type questions carrying a total of 100 marks.
