Now in a recent interview, Akshay Kumar opened up about the film when he talked about how audience tastes continue to change and how cinema has evolved over time accordingly. She was also asked if she would like to be a part of such a film, or if she feels jealous or insecure when other actors get such films.Speaking to Rajdeep Sardesai at the Delhi 2026 conclave in India, the actor said: See the film industry is like a circle; it keeps changing every two years, every three years. Everything changes. They keep changing the concept, our audience, what they want. Aaj Indian kha liya, Kal Chinese kha li, Parso Italian kha liya. Everything changes every two years.”He further added, “Take Dhurandhar for example. It is a complete action film. The entire film is about action and bloodshed. People have loved it, lapped it up and really enjoyed it. And then there is a hero like Ranveer Singhfeaturing intense action scenes, a very heart-pounding, high-energy type of action. He carries the image of a complete “angry youth”. So everything keeps changing. Now it’s time for horror comedy. People really like horror comedies, Stree was a big hit. Everything is constantly changing, and we don’t really know what the audience will like.’The ‘Bhooth Bangla’ actor was asked if Lyari wanted to be part of the gang and would suit the action-packed film. In response, the ‘Khiladi’ actor said, “I don’t think Aditya thought of that, so I didn’t get it.” Asked if he has any insecurities or regrets, Akshay replied, “Many times when I meet Ranveer, he says, ‘Woh kya film ki thi, I wish I had done it. This happens. Koi film woh karna chahta hai aur koi main. Hum log 15-20 actors hai aur Hindustan to film ki thi, so hai180 film sain. Everyone had roles with regret, like you would like to do this film, but jalan nahi hoti (there is no no jealousy).
