In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Jyoti Deshpande of Jio Studios confirmed that the franchise still has more in store. “We are not done with Dhurandhar yet. Hopefully, we’ll have a surprise for viewers later this year. There’s something in our hands,” he said.The teaser has already sparked speculation among fans about a possible sequel, spin-off or expansion of the ‘Dhurandhar’ universe.Talking about the making of the film and Dhar’s journey during the production, Deshpande added, “It’s special because the adversity we made this film brought us closer than ever before.”It also gave fans a glimpse into the filmmaker’s life outside the theaters after his box office success. She said: “Right now, Aditya is spending time with his son. He couldn’t spend too much time (with him), so I think he’s with cows and things like that. He’s happy now, but I know he’s on his mind.”In recent weeks, rumors have been rife that Dhar is evaluating three potential large-scale projects, including a Chandragupta Maurya historical epic with Ranveer Singh, the much-awaited The Immortal Ashwatthama and a high-stakes sports drama. However, there has been no word on a new film ‘Dhurandhar’ as the two-part spy film franchise collectively crossed Rs 3,000 crore at the box office.
