Gujarat’s SSC 2026 results have elicited mixed reactions. Students unhappy with their marks can opt for rechecking, applications will open immediately after the results. Failed candidates get a second chance through a supplementary examination using the ‘best of two’ system. It offers a systematic path to academic improvement for all students.

For many Class 10 students in Gujarat, SSC Result 2026 has brought mixed emotions. While some students have passed with good marks, some are disappointed or even failed in one or more subjects. The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) has provided clear options for such situations, including rechecking of marks and supplementary examination under the best-of-two system.If students are not satisfied with their marks, they can apply for verification or recheck of GSEB SSC Marks. Applications will open a few days after the declaration of results, and students must apply within the given deadline. A fee will be charged per subject, but rechecking does not guarantee higher marks, as the result may increase, decrease or remain unchanged.Students who fail in one or more subjects have another chance through SSC Supplementary Examination 2026 (Best of Two System).

The fee for supplementary examinations has been fixed at Rs 155 for one subject, Rs 225 for two subjects, Rs 285 for three subjects and Rs 415 for more than three subjects. However, female students and disabled students are exempted from payment of examination fee. All applications should be submitted online only, as offline or postal applications are not accepted.Only those students who appeared in the February-March 2026 main examination are eligible for the supplementary examination. Private candidates or students who have not appeared in the main examination cannot apply directly.The best-of-two system allows students to re-appear in failed subjects or improve their scores, and the better of two attempts is considered for the final result. This gives students a second chance to complete class 10.Application for rechecking and best of two is done online only through the official website of the board: Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board gseb.org. No offline forms (post or in person) are accepted. Students are advised to keep checking the website for updates.Failing or scoring low marks in SSC 2026 is not the end of the road. With the rechecking and best-of-two supplementary examination system, students get a structured second chance to improve their performance and advance academically.
