Anil KapoorNayak, who immortalized the role of a common man turned chief minister: a real hero, has made it clear that he has no political ambitions in real life.In an interview with ABP News, the actor was asked if he would like to step into the role of a chief minister for a day – just like his iconic character Shivaji Rao in the 2001 film. Kapoor candidly replied, “I wouldn’t want to be one. I don’t even think about it.”
“There are many more capable people doing the work”
The actor emphasized his respect for those in government. “I respect all of them. I think there are much bigger people who know this work better and are doing great work in every state and in the country,” he said, adding that India is “moving forward and doing very well in every way.”Kapoor reiterated that the thought of entering politics never crossed his mind. “I’ve never thought about it… I don’t even want to think about it,” he added.
“I will do my part as a citizen”
“For my part, I will always try – as an actor, as a person, as a citizen of Mumbai, Maharashtra, India and this planet – to do whatever I can to make things better,” he said.Highlighting the main concerns, Kapoor added, “Whether it’s environment, climate change, pollution or spreading happiness and entertainment, whatever is in my power, I will try to do it.”He concluded by saying that while he has no interest in running for office, he would always support those in leadership roles. “If there’s anyone in that job, I’d like to help in any small way I can to make things better.”Directed by S.
