While attending the opening night of the Broadway show ‘Beaches,’ Ringwald recalled taking an exam while filming one of his most famous films.‘Pretty in Pink’ was released in 1986 and was a huge hit. Ringwald was joined by Andrew McCarthy, Harry Dean Stanton, Annie Potts and James Spader.The 58-year-old added: “It was a long time ago. It almost seems like another lifetime. I had to do my finals for my high school algebra test on set… So I think that’s what I remember the most.” She cited it as one of her most memorable moments on set, along with celebrating her best friend Matt’s birthday.Speaking about the moment, he added that[Matt] He turned 18 in that set, and I have a picture of him blowing out the candles.” He revealed that he was the inspiration for the character Philip F. “Duckie” Dale from ‘Pretty in Pink’, and that the two have been friends since they were in 6th grade together.“He’s the godfather to my older daughter, and I’m the godmother to his kid.
