Bollywood has revolved around its three big stars for years: Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khanand Aamir Khan. Farah Khanwho makes films and choreographies, has worked closely with each of them. In a podcast not long ago, he shared his thoughts. He has fond memories of Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan. But she said that she never really got close to Aamir Khan.
Farah Khan is the least close to Aamir Khan
“Salman came before Shah Rukh Khan, and Aamir is at least someone I’m close to because he was already a star when I worked on Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar,” Farah said on Ranveer Allahbadia’s podcast, adding, “He would teach me the basics on film sets. But somehow I never got close to him.”
Farah Khan has known Salman Khan since childhood
Discussing Salman Khan, Farah said that she has known the actor since childhood. He shared a funny story from his first movie ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’. “Salman himself has said this publicly. I went to teach dance during Maine Pyar Kiya, but ran away an hour later,” Farah shared.Farah explained how their bond has endured over the years, despite clashing lifestyles. She said, “Sometimes I go to Salman’s house. But if you talk about hanging out, his idea is very different from mine. I want to sleep by 9.30 or 10 at night, while he likes to be up at 2 in the morning. But we met recently at my birthday party.”Having known Salman almost all her life, Farah stated that he remained the same through personal and career highs and lows. “It’s been the same. He’s got a very dry sense of humor. If you get it, he’s very funny. Because he’s been through a lot in his life, his sense of humor is very terrible, very sarcastic and dry. But inside, he’s a very soft person,” he said.
Salman Khan does not hide from controversies
Allahbadia during the discussion raised the issue of how controversies often lead to isolation of stars, asking if Salman has backed away from this. Farah rejected the idea outright. “Salman does not hide. He blocks the debate and continues to do his job,” he said. He also clarified the persistent rumor of Salman’s delay on the sets. “People say he was late on set, but in those days a lot of actors were late,” Farah explained, adding: “Having said that, they would still stay until the work was done. They would never say, ‘Please let me go after four hours.’ There is not a single movie that has been archived because of him. He simply puts his arms down and continues to work.”
