Ice Cube and ‘War of the Worlds’ led the 2026 Razzie Awards, with the film taking home five honors at the 46th annual ceremony. The sci-fi title won worst picture, and Ice Cube was named worst actor for his role in the film. The same project also received awards for worst director, worst screenplay and worst prequel, remake, spoof or sequel. The results put ‘War of the Worlds’ at the center of this year’s Razzie list and give the spoof awards a clear title.

Variety reports that “War of the Worlds” “dominated the 46th Razzie Awards, (reluctantly) taking home honors for worst picture, worst actor and more.” According to the outlet, Ice Cube beat out Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye for “Hurry Up Tomorrow,” Dave Bautista for “In the Lost Lands,” Scott Eastwood for “Alarum” and Jared Leto for “Tron: Ares” in the worst actor race. The report also included other wins for the film for director Rich Lee and screenwriters Kenny Golde and Marc Hyman.

The Razzie Awards, which recognize what voters consider the weakest films and performances of the year, have spread the damage beyond just one title. Rebel Wilson won worst actress for ‘Bride Hard’. Scarlet Rose Stallone took worst supporting actress in ‘Gunslingers’. The live-action ‘Snow White’ also took home two awards, with “All Seven Artificial Dwarfs” winning second worst actor and worst screen combination.
One of the softer moments on the list was Kate Hudson’s. The Razzies awarded her a Razzie Redeemer Award for her Oscar-nominated performance in “Song Sung Blue.” The report noted that Hudson had received several Razzie acting nominations earlier in her career, including for ‘My Best Friend’s Girl,’ ‘Mother’s Day,’ and ‘Music.’ This time, the team acknowledged his comeback.
