Farah Khan is traumatized after working with Akshaye Khan
On Ranveer Allahbadia’s podcast, Farah Khan shared, “In the 90s, I did a couple of films with Akshaye, and I was traumatized after that. Because he used to be a different person. Yes, introverted, but he wasn’t a nice person on set. Every time I heard Akshaye Khanna was in a film, I’d say, ‘I don’t have a date.’ The actress added that she was dealing with hair loss at the time, which kept her in a bad mood.

“I think at the time she said she was losing her hair. She was constantly agitated. She would throw things and say, ‘What kind of interview is this?'” That’s the kind of person she used to be.” But Farah revealed that her perspective changed on Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Dil Chahta Hai’. She couldn’t ignore it as it was her first time directing her cousin Farhan.

She shared, “By then she had changed completely. She had come to terms with her hair. In ‘Dil Chahta Hai’, she became very cold. Before that, if there was water or rain in a scene, she would always wear a cap, as seen in all her rain songs, like in Taal. But after Dil Chahta Hai, something changed. And she is, Kahei is a great dancer if you watch ‘Kohta’. She dances better than Aamir and Saif.”

Farah stated that they now have a strong bond. He also called Akshaye Khanna immediately after seeing Dhurandhar to praise him. “I called him and then I went to his Alibag house. What I like about him is that he’s not talking about fluff, he’s talking about work. He likes acting.”

During the chat, Farah revealed that Aatish Kapoor’s participation in Akshaye’s ‘Tees Maar Khan’ was dropped earlier by others. “A lot of people said no to the role. First Sharman Joshi turned it down because he was doing Ferrari Ki Sawaa at the time. And Akshaye Khanna was the last person you’d think of for the role because it’s a weird, cracked comedy, so he had to ham it up completely.”
