
Halloween‘ and the classic crime drama ‘Goodfellas’, has died aged 81. He passed away peacefully on April 24th in Vancouver, Canada. The cause of death was natural causes as confirmed by his brother Mike Starr, according to TMZ.
Beau Starr was born in Queens, New York City on September 1, 1944. He was widely known for playing Sheriff Ben Meeker in the ‘Halloween’ franchise. Beau Starr also portrayed Henry Hill’s father in the veteran-directed crime classic ‘Goodfellas’

Beau Starr’s early career and progress
Beau Starr began his acting journey in 1979. He appeared in various roles in the sketch series ‘Beard’ which aired on Canada’s CTV Television Network. He was part of the show until the fifth and final season in 1986. Born on September 1, 1944, Beau Starr built a solid foundation in both television and film.
Beau Starr’s notable film roles
Beau Starr gained much recognition for his role in ‘Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers’ and reprized the role in its sequel ‘Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers’. He appeared in ‘Hanky Panky’ with Gene Wilder and Gilda Radner.
Beau Starr also starred in ‘Summer School’ directed by Carl Reiner and his best known work is ‘Goodfellas’, which is a reference book for crime dramas. He later appeared in the drama ‘The Cinderella Man’.
Beau Starr’s television career
Beau Starr had an extensive television career. He made guest appearances on several popular shows. These include ‘TJ Hooker’, ‘The A-Team’, ‘Knight Rider’, ‘Hill Street Blues’, ‘V: The Series’, ‘Hunter’, ‘Wings’, ‘The 4400’, ‘A Nero Wolfe Mystery’ and ‘NYPD Blue’. He also gained fame reprising his role as Lt. Harding Welsh in the series Due South. In 1980, he also appeared in the American Theater of Actors’ play The Set-Up.
In addition to acting, Starr had experience in sports. He spent time on the New York Jets practice squad. He also played two seasons in the Canadian Football League, Deadline reports.
