The Maharashtra State Board has declared the HSC Result 2026 with an overall pass percentage of 89.79%. While most students have passed the exam, many have not.According to the data shared by the board, a total of 14,44,713 students appeared for the Class 12 exam, out of which 14,33,058 students passed. A minimum of 35% marks in each subject is required to pass the 12th standard exam.Students who did not pass, as well as those who wish to improve their marks, will get another chance, applications will be opened for re-examination and re-exams.
Maharashtra HSC 12th Result: Re-Examination, Important Dates for Re-Exam
For students who believe their marks may have been in error, the board has initiated a verification and re-evaluation process. Applications for recount of marks and photocopy of answer sheets can be submitted online from May 3 to May 17. Students must apply through the official website and complete the process within the given timeline.The Board has laid down a systematic procedure for re-examination. Students should first obtain a photocopy of their answer sheet before applying for re-examination. After receiving the copy, they will have five working days to submit a request for reassessment.

Maharashtra HSC 12th Result: How to Check Your Marks
Students can check their Maharashtra HSC Class 12 result online by visiting official websites like mahresult.nic.in, mahahsscboard.in, or hscresult.mkcl.org. On the home page, they need to click on the link for “HSC Exam Result February 2026”, then enter their seat number and mother’s maiden name as mentioned on the hall ticket (they can enter “XXX” if not available).After submitting the details, the result will appear on the screen, which can be downloaded or printed for future use. Students can also access their digital mark sheet through DigiLocker or UMANG app, and use SMS services if websites are slow due to heavy traffic.
