‘The Bachelorette’ is canceled in March
In March, according to a statement from ABC, the reality show starring Paul was taken off the air just days before its official premiere. A statement released at the time read: “In light of the video that just surfaced today, we have made the decision not to move forward with the new season of The Bachelorette at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family.”The “newly released video” was referring to a video for the ‘Mormon Wives’ album and Dakota Mortensen that went viral online. The incident happened while his daughter was there. Both Mortensen and Paul were investigated for three separate incidents of domestic abuse. Both alleged that the other person was violent and abused them. At the moment, the two are busy with their son’s custody inquiries. On April 30, the first trial was held, and the judge granted the two a mutual protection order for the next 3 years. The next hearing of the case will be on June 1.DISCLAIMER: If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic violence, assault or abuse, seek immediate help.
