New Delhi: In a shameful incident, two Sri Lankan Under-19 men’s cricketers have been arrested for allegedly filming people taking a bath inside a hotel in Colombo. According to ESPNcricinfo, the incident reportedly took place at a hotel in Narahenpita where the players were staying.The cricketers were detained earlier this week after women staying at the hotel complained that they were being filmed on mobile phones while inside their bathrooms.According to reports, both players have been released on personal bail of 500,000 LKR (about $1,564).Police in Narahenpita are currently investigating whether any of the alleged videos were shared online.The players were produced in Alothkid Magistrate’s Court for their preliminary hearing and are due to appear again on May 25.Disciplinary action by SLCSri Lanka Cricket has not yet announced any disciplinary action against these two players.The board itself has been undergoing changes over the past 48 hours, with the removal of its previous incumbents and the appointment of a transition committee.
