Abhijeet Bhattacharya: ‘Shah Rukh Khan’s Ego, My Self-Respect’ Singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya On Fallout With Actor: ‘Aamir Khan Even Named A Dog After Him’ | Hindi Movie News

Abhijeet Bhattacharyalong regarded as one of the signature playback voices Shah Rukh Khan In the 90’s and the beginning of the 2000’s, he again spoke of the fall between them. In a recent podcast, the singer revisited the reasons behind their strained relationship, describing it as a mix of emotional pain and unresolved issues. She has previously said that she felt left out and was denied due credit, especially in ‘Main Hoon Na’, which starred and produced Shah Rukh.Abhijeet honestly addressed the root of their rift. In an interview with Nidhi Vasandani, she said, “Shah Rukh Khan’s ego and my self-respect are the reasons for the breakup. Shah Rukh is younger than me, but when Farah Khan’s husband abused her so much, Shah Rukh still hugged her. Aamir Khan even they named a dog Shah Rukh, and the two still became friends.’For the singer, the lack of forgiveness continued to hurt. “What hurt me was that you couldn’t say sorry even once. You are a great person, but no apologies. Just remember the mistake you made, something like this will happen to you, maybe in your home production,” he added.Abhijeet dismissed suggestions that his attitude came from ego, insisting that it came from a place of emotional investment. “I was so proud, I stopped singing for others. I felt that I was Shah Rukh’s voice and I would not sing for anyone else. This is not ego, it is a deep pain.”He also remembered the moments when he felt forgotten even though he was there. “When I saw everyone hugging, I was sitting there too. He could have said, ‘Come on, Abhijeet, let it go.’ At least he could do that.’Responding to claims that people are calling Shah Rukh’s name for attention, Abhijeet said, “It’s not that I want to sing for you. You say people use your name for advertising. Why would I use your name when you’re using my voice? That’s the pain.”Reflecting on how she could have handled things differently, she said, “If I had made a mistake like that, if I were Shah Rukh, I would have gone to his house, grabbed his necklace and said, ‘Come on, let him go.'” He further said, “This is a very small gesture. My songs will be heard today, if it’s Raj, Khan, even though today Khan is a big superstar. They listen to Kishore Kumar and Rafi, but I don’t know if those songs were picturized on Rajesh Khanna. You and I will know, but the next generation will not.’However, the singer left the door open for reconciliation. “If there is a patch, the kind of voice that Shah Rukh needs, nobody can give him that. I can give him a better voice than before.” Earlier talking to ANI about where things stand now, she said, “Koi relationship hi nahi hai. I have met you a few times, but hello or hello to greet you. I haven’t sat down and talked to you properly like I am doing right now.
